Used tires maybe most people think that cannot install studs any more, but I want to tell you, it’s wrong. Zhuzhou Jinxin had produced a kind of tire studs, it can be install into used tires. And we also call it repair studs. It made of carbide pin, steel or aluminum body you can choose, and studs body cover with environment plastic, below picture is JX12-10-2:

when we take out the broken studs, the tire hole will become bigger, so we can not use the same studs any more, so only can choose repair studs, due to the diameter of plastic tire studs is larger than ordinary tire studs, it can ensure that the tire studs can be firmly combined with the tire, which can achieve a very strong anti-skid effect.

About the installation step, if the broken studs still in tire, then you need remove them, and clean tire holes, then use studs gun install the studs into tire. Then finished.

The studs typically incorporate an extremely hard metal called tungsten carbide. When installing studs on used snow tires with pre-drilled holes for studs, take the size of the studs into consideration.

Please noted: Do not use studded tires in non-winter months, due to the damage they can cause to pavement.
